what would you change if you could?
by brownlove2000 in.
as a hypothetical thought exercise, if say you had absolute power and carte blanche to change anything you wanted in the org and its teachings and policies, and no one at brooklyn would challenge your changes, what would you immediately change?

This IS the sad reality of the JWs. By their fruits you will recognize you will recogonize these men. The JWs always beg off in this aspect of helping people, because saving their asses by placing watchtowers is more important. WAKE UP and smell the coffee all you lukers, because this is a forgleam of what to expect from your motherly organization if you fall on tough times.

The Only Way to Improve Your Life is by Studying with JWs!
by Funchback inthis statement appears to be absolute truth if you were to ask any one of jehovah's witnesses to answer the question: who can one turn to for help in making positive changes in their life?
the literature that they read is peppered with examples of people who once were violent or drug addicted or had other addictions such as alcohol or gambling and are now one of jehovah's witnesses.
first, do you believe that one can only make a change by studying the bible with jws?

I turned my Pay Attention to the Flock Book in. The body already knew that I was complaining about the load I was under, because that fell on deaf ears I simply gave the book back. The C.O. on his next visit tried to talk me into coming back, but I declined. If an elder feels that the elder body, whom he works shoulder to shoulder with, does not listen, then the members of the cong. are absolutely correct if they feel the same about their local body.

New Divorce Rules ???
by jazbug ina friend of mine is getting a divorce because her husband is questioning the wts...he's sick of the cover-ups...in light of a new elder abuse case here.
she says she can't lie with someone who is going to talk against the wts..so i asked her how she could get a divorce for those reasons.
evidentally, the co came to talk to her and because she can't get govt.

that spiritual endangerment crap was used by my ex-wife, to get a divorce. glad I'm no longer married to the watchtowers rules. Seems to me that the watchtower breaks up many more families than it saves.

Mental health issues
by YellowLab inhow many of you have experienced or are experiencing any mental health related issues?
were/are any of these issues related to you being a jw?
do you feel many dubs still in "the truth" have mental health issues but are afraid to seek treatment from a "worldly" psychologist or psychiatrist?.

I had 3 bouts of depression in 20 yrs with the Jws. After going through "culture shock" and returning to a normal life, I learned that the "world" has a much better support system than the witnesses could offer. Right now depression free, why go back to the dubs? Sorry, but guilt and fear are not for me anymore.

My ex-wife, still a good standing dub, stole my car and cash out of my business. When I spoke with the local elders they did nothing (the old we cant't get involed bullshit) I thought theft was a disfellowshipping offense? From a legal point it was considered grand theft auto. I had a lawyer who said I could have her arrested, chose not to because it was a divorce and I wanted out at that point. To make a long story short, months later the same jackass elders tried to encourage me to return to my wonderful friends at the kingdom hall I brought the same matter up and they told me I should have went to court and pressed charges if I felt that strong about it. MY question why didn't they at least investigate to see if theft was involved. Trust me if it was a charge of adultry they would be in your face right away. Thou shall not steal. The truth is she was going to stay a dub and I was leaving, so another cause of witnesses breaking Bibe Rules to protect their own.
